Preformed Ponds

Preformed ponds are great for small gardens, manufactured in various sizes and shapes to fit your needs. These are ridged liners with plant shelves usually built in.

This video is presented by Laguna.

For a small area these are the ones to use, because they do not need a flexible liner and they come ready to use.

A flexible liner would be difficult to use because of folds created by forming small complex shapes.

For a patio with a small garden this type of ridged liner is perfect.

Picture this: you have spent a lot of time, and probably some money, making your little garden into a relaxing oasis, inviting friends and family over for a backyard gathering.

You ask the question, “so what do you think of my garden” and the response is lukewarm.

Insert a pond and voila! Instant attraction, garden ponds have that efect on people!

These preformed garden ponds or plasitc garden pond “in a box” can incorporate little creeks and streams as well as the plant ledges mentioned earlier, and if you have children, the possibilities are endless.

Children and nature go together, like frogs and water. You build it and they (the frogs) will come and the children will be fascinated.

One drawback is that the size is not large enough to house large koi fish, so if you are planning to purchase koi please remember that they need a lot of room to grow, and because of the small water volume, the temperature may rise, with sunlight, hindering fish life.
